Subject:  FACILITIES PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ROUTINE REPORTS

 

I.        AUTHORIZE AMENDMENT OF SERVICE AGREEMENTS

 

                   A.      Authorize Amendment No. 1 of Agreement No. 4500004381 with Rios Associates to exercise the option to include preparation of Construction Documents for the project “Child Development Center” at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College in an amount of $112,650.

 

Background:  This agreement was authorized by the Board of Trustees on August 21, 2002 (Com. No. BSD2). This amendment will allow the architect to proceed with the Construction Document phase of the project. The agreement totals $200,267 with this amendment.   Funding is through the 2001-2002 State Capital Outlay Program.

 

       B.      Authorize Amendment No. 1 of Agreement No. 4500003127 with PBWS Architects to exercise the option to include preparation of Construction Documents  for the project “Child Development Center” at Los Angeles City College in the amount of $146,874. 

 

                             Background:   This agreement was authorized by the Board of Trustees on August 21, 2002 (Com. No. BSD2).  This amendment will allow the architect to proceed with the Construction Document phase of the project. The agreement totals $261,110 with this amendment.  Funding is through the 2001-2002 State Capital Outlay Program.

 

       II.         RATIFY AMENDMENT OF SERVICE AGREEMENT

 

                   Ratify Amendment No. 1 of Agreement No. 99-0004 with Digital Energy to extend the contract period from February 2, 2002 to April 30, 2004 for the project “Energy Efficient HVAC Retrofit” at Los Angeles Trade- Technical College at no additional cost.

 

                   Background: This agreement was authorized by The Board of Trustees on February 24, 1999 (Com. No. BSD4). This amendment will allow the consultant to complete the final design documents and Construction Administration for the project. Funding is through a DGS Energy Assessments Section arranged Lease Purchase Transaction.
