Subject: FACILITIES PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ROUTINE REPORTS

 

I. RATIFY SERVICE AGREEMENTS

A. Ratify an amendment to Agreement No. 01-0011 with P2S Engineering Inc. to provide additional design services for New Telephone System Project and prepare subsequent change order for the Los Angeles City College Holmes Hall during the period June 1, 2002 to September 1, 2002, inclusive, at a cost of $3,000.

Background. The Board of Trustees approved this contract on April 18, 2001 (Com. No. BSD5). Funding is through the 2000/2001 Scheduled Maintenance Fund with a 50% District match.

B. Ratify an agreement with JCM Facilities Planning and Management to provide Professional Services at Los Angeles Pierce College during the period May 1, 2002 to completion, inclusive, at a cost of $49,950.

 

Background. This pilot project will demonstrate Computer Aided Facilities Management software to perform space identification, utilization, occupancy reporting, and planning for all buildings and structures. As built Computer Aided Design (CAD) documents will be imported into the database for population and plotline space definitions. Funding is through the Facilities Planning & Development Department.

 

II. AUTHORIZE ACCEPTANCE OF COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS

A. Authorize the Acceptance of Completion of agreement No. 01-1005 with Profile Structures, Inc for the project, "Math Relocatable Buildings" at East Los Angeles College with a substantial completion date of April 15, 2002.

 

 

 

 

Background: This contract was approved by the Board of Trustees on March 21, 2001 (Com No. BSD5). This contract totals $819,253.00. Funding is through College General Funds

B. Authorize the Acceptance of Completion for Contract No. 01-C002 with Rawlings Mechanical Corp. for the project "Mechanical for Women’s Fitness Center" at Los Angeles City College with a substantial completion date of November 21, 2001.

Background: This contract was approved by the Board of Trustees on April 17, 2002 (Com. No. BSD2). This contract totaling

$ 26,812 is funded through the College General Fund.
